Kolade Edwin Oyinbo
Kolade Edwin Oyinbo, popularly known as Koko became a citizen of mother earth on February 20, 1970. He is a member of the blessed Oyinbo family who hails from Ilaje Town in Ondo State.
Koko as we all know him, has been an avid pursuer of educational excellence. He completed his primary and secondary education at Ojomba Primary school and Iwere Grammer school both in Koko Bendel State (now Delta State), and his tertiary education at Idah Polytechnic, Kogi State and the Petroleum Training Institute (PTI) Effurun in Delta State. As a student at Idah Polytechnic, Koko was involved in farming and fishing, to support his education. He graduated with a degree in Electrical / Electronics Engineering, majoring in Instrumentation & Control Systems.
Kolade started working at an early age of 12, supporting his mother in running her Cotonou business. He was solely responsible for the financial management of the family business, and this exposure was instrumental in Koko’s involvement in cross-border trading as we know today – importing vehicles, and other household products. Koko also had a brief stint with retailing of petroleum products between Delta state and Maiduguri, and textile business between Lagos and Niger state during his NYSC days.
Koko, after graduation has also had an exciting working career. He began work in Delta state maintaining marine vessels and building Oil and Gas facility platforms for multinational Oil & Gas Companies like Chevron, Total, ConOil and more. He also worked on sea-going vessels in various capacity, building his technical competence all the way. He had further working experiences with Globestar construction company, Noble drilling, Saipem Drilling, Ocean Valliant and supply vessels - Lamnalco and Delta Boat Yard. He has also worked in Rivers State for different Oil Servicing companies as Facility Rig Electrician / Instrument Technician. He is multi-talented and presently combines Financial Management, Real Estate Management with his current role in the Oil & Gas Industry.
Kolade is a grandfather and happily married to Barr. Linda Odimegwu-Oyinbo (Lolo) and they are blessed with beautiful children and grandchildren. When asked about his memorable moment – he will tell you the first night with wife Linda.
Koko loves travelling and getting to know new people and places. He is also an avid sports fan and supports Arsenal football club.
Kolade is a Christian and places lots of value in making people happy. His motto is to make sure everyone goes home daily not looking for what to eat. He had a tough run growing up to becoming a man today and values every moment to put a smile on the face of someone.
